I am a freelance copyeditor and proofreader with more than forty years of experience in a broad variety of professional fields: academic, business, and nonprofit organizations, and self-help/self-improvement literature.
My business and other nonfiction editing experience includes corporate and government sales/marketing literature; press releases; white papers; annual reports; web content; PowerPoint presentations; and other corporate communications; energy/power sector reports; medical manufacturing training manuals; arts marketing, public relations, and fundraising literature; policy research working papers (for The World Bank); business case studies (for Hong Kong University of Science and Technology); business books for Advantage/Forbes Books; Harriman House (finance books); and articles for regional magazines (including a magazine on local environmental conservation).
My academic experience includes copyediting books on a wide range of subjects for publishers such as Palgrave Macmillan, Harvard University Press, Columbia University Press, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
My international clientele also includes individual academic and business professionals, as well as writers of self-help and self-improvement literature.
I edit American, Australian, British, and Canadian English and am conversant with Chicago, Turabian, Oxford, APA, MLA, AP, and Harvard editorial conventions, among others.
I also edit ESL (English as a second language) documents for an international clientele of academic and business writers whose mother tongue is not English.
I am a published children's author and critique and edit children's middle-grade fiction and nonfiction.
